On Sunday April 24, 2011 over 25 people at Grace Presbyterian Church gathered outside to plant a Red Rocket Crape Myrtle Tree in honor of the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ which occurred 2, 000 years ago.  Over 400 people attended Easter services at Grace on Sunday morning.  The Red Rocket Crape Myrtle tree is popular in the south and blooms a lovely red flower from July - Sept. It is the fastest growing Crape Myrtle, growing up to 3-5 ft. per year  until maturing between 20 - 30 ft. The tree can be seen by the office sign on Tuxedo Rd.
