I think Emmy Rossum is the perfect choice to play Ana. She has the fair skin, big eyes, and I can't really see anoyone else being a better Ana. I'm torn as to who should play Christian but I think it should be someone slightly unknown. I was thinking Chris Hemsworth at first for obvious reasons, but not sure if he really fits the part. Ed Westwick came to mind for Grey (he basically plays a roll similar to Grey on Gossip Girl). I also thought of Jason Lewis (he might be too old for the part) or Hunter Parrish from the show Weeds (he is very good looking). I recently heard about an actor who is know in England named Christian Cooke. If you google him and see some photos of him, I believe he does have the look and since he is not very well known over he in the states, he might be perfect. I have no idea if he is a decent actor, but I think we need someone who is not very well known.

I think Jason Lewis could pull it off. Little older, yes, but... Ana needs to be an unknown character actress. That's a tough one!. If you're like me, impatiently waiting for the movie, and still feeling the buzz from Fifty Shades, I went looking for another novel to sate the need. Over-the-top sexy hero, interesting heroine, and it’s written better, but hot, hot called “Too Grand For Words” Friggin’ awesome! Now I’ve got two heroes to pant over. Later's Baby!

i also think as for Ana, I like Alexandra daddario from percy jackson. She has the long brown hair, big blue yes & alabaster skin. At 26 she has the look to play 22 & innocent but can transform to sexy & eventually becoming a mother. Also at 26 she is more mature & experienced enough for the steamy scenes. Mty 2nd choice is Lindsey Fonseca who has similar features from Nikita.

Jessie Pavelka is definitely Christain Grey (at least for me). Google him, you won't be disappointed. As for Ana Steele, Ashely Greene is a good choice.

Loooovvvvveee Colin Egglesfield for Christian. Can't imagine anyone else when reading the book. He 100% looks the part and is completely versatile! If you look at hit google images he can pull off any Christian Grey look easily!!! But for Anastasia the only person who really looks like her to me is Felicity Jones. She is sweet and innocent looking but GORGEOUS. Ana is self described as plain Jane so it can't be anyone that is too much of an obvious knock out with sex appeal. They need to work up to that look and Felicity Jones is the only person I can think of to pull that off!

While I love Matt Bomer as Christian Grey, he is gay and let's be honest...as reader's we want to lust after someone who is into women. I think that Henry Cavill would be perfect; fun fact about him is that he was Stephenie Meyer's first choice for Edward in Twilight but by the time filming got roling he was too old. Now if you're a true Fifty Shades fan you should know that Christian & Ana were inspired by the roles of Edward & Bella. Therefore, Henry Cavill would be perfect! I think alongside Felicity Jones, the movie would be perfect. She is innocent as well as a fresh face in Hollywood, & a role this big we need fresh faces who don't remind us of awful previous roles they might have played. Aside from these suggestions, I also like Hayden Christensen, Garrett Hedlund, Joshua Bowman as Christian & Shailene Woodley as Anastasia.

I cannot see anyone else playing Christian except Collin Egglesfield and Ana should be played by Emmy Rossum. If she had blue contacts, she could not be any better or a pick. She has that shy awkwardness and also that sexy sultry side that Christian brings out in her. I have seen her pictures over and over and she is Anastasia. She has that tousled hair like in the book. I also would love Jay Hernandez to play Jose.

I think that Ian Somerhalder would also be a good pick because I could see that dark side of Christian in him, but there is also something a bit too pretty boy about him that does not seem very Christian like. He looks kind of effeminate in some of his pics. However I would not be too disappointed if he got the role because if Christian is know for anything it is definitely those piercing Grey eyes and he definitely has those. However I would still love to see Collin Egglesfied play Christian.

I'm sorry but I do not understand this fascination with Ian somerhalder? I don't care if Matt bomer is gay, he is the perfect pick for fifty. He has that strong jawline that Ana always talks about, unruly messed hair which everyone has read about a zillion times, he's gorgeous and if you haven't already googled him, do it and have a look at how good he looks in a suit! I mean, c'mon! Is he not the perfect choice for Christian grey? He has that older look to him, an he's played someone with lots of wealth before in the movie in time. The character of Christian Grey is only 27/28. But keep in mind that actors have forever played roles for characters younger or older than their actual age. It only all depends if the actor/actress looks the age and can convincingly portray the character correctly. That being said, many of these actors can easily play the part even though their actual age is older. There are also some however that absolutely could not pull it f, ie: tom cruise, sharon stone.

Someone made a comment last night that I couldn't agree with more. Christian is tall. Anastasia remarks about his height several times. When they're in the shower together her face is in his chest so whoever plays Christian will have to be tall and whoever plays Anastasia shouldn't be. Here are some tall men that could play the part; Tom Welling, Hayden Christiansen, Jared Padalecki, Joe Mangenellio (looks younger and cuter shaved and shorter hair), Chris Hemsworth (but he'd be better as the big guy Elliot), and a little known guy David Fuit. There are a lot of guys who have the looks and the talent, but lack the height needed. For Anastasia; Jordan Hinson, Anna Kendrick, Lacey Chabert, Holland Roden, Alex McKenna, and Britt Robertson to name a few that haven't been named already.

He has the perfect mix of naughty (he's played domineering and is comfortable doing nude scenes) and sweet and he's a great actor. He looks hot in suit and tie as well as naked. He has those intense grey eyes, wavy hair and is tall and muscular. Some of these other suggestions the men are good looking but not the whole package. Henry is all of it wrapped into one.

Christian grey has to be played by Ryan Gosling. When I was reading the book, I had an image of Ryan in my head. He's got the beautiful face, the muscular body, can be sly and dominate- he's perfect. If Ryan doesn't play Mr Grey I will not be watching the film.

how can anyone not see both actors (Matt B & Alexis B) fit the physical description of the main leads to a T!!!!!!! ... specially the BLUE innocent yet smart eyes and the GREY piercing, full of intent CEO eyes!! Hmmm..... NO DOUBT abt it!!! 100% Alexis B & Matt B alll the wayyyyy!!!!!! :D

I WILL NOT BE WATCHING THE FILM IF Ryan Gosling gets the part. Watch Crazy, Stupid Love &Tell me..he can pull off a suit and looks gorgeous from the back but there's just something about the butt chin &his voice that is NOT Christian Grey material...its like a banana peel, not melted chocolate caramel something...MATT BOMMER can pull off the role (I was totally picturing him before I heard he was a possibility) BUT episode 9 of W/C during the fight...he did look a bit Gay..can he really pull it off? Oh I hope so! MATT B, YES PLEASE :-D as for ana....lucy hale !!!
