A Jersey Concert For Jersey Music Lovers

On Saturday, November 19, from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m., The Rock & Soul Concert Festival 2011 will hold its first annual concert at the Memorial Auditorium at Montclair State University.

In short, this is a Jersey concert for Jersey music lovers.

The Rock & Soul Concert Festival is a combination of two concerts in one night. The first show, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., will consist of three rock acts: Little Devil (of Warren), The Jersey Royale (of Ramsey), and Black Water (of Jersey City). The second show, from 9 p.m. to 11 p.m., will bring together four R&B and soul talents from New Jersey to New York that will include: Jesse Idol (of Newark), J Mello (of New York), and Shanelle Gabriel (of New York). Lastly, and most gratefully, there is Stephanie White & the Philth Harmonic, the inspiration for this combination of rock and soul.

These fine musicians hope to bring their unique sounds to an enthusiastic crowd the weekend before Thanksgiving to give everyone a great start to the holiday season.

This concert has come together as an effort to help nurture original music in New Jersey.
