Susan Horowitz' "Step Up To The Plate" Hummus:

1 15 oz. can chick peas

1 clove garlic

1 TBS olive oil

1 to 2 TBS tahini

Juice of one lemon

Optional one to two roasted red peppers. Salt and pepper to taste. Puree in food processor until creamy. Add salt and pepper to taste.

Alma's Edamame Dip:

1 1 lb bag frozen, shelled, organic edamame (Whole Foods)

1/2 cup olive or canola oil

1/4 cup rice vinegar (sold at most stores)

1 TBS sugar

1 tsp salt

Boil frozen edamame for five minutes. Let cool. Puree all ingredients  in a food processor until creamy.
