Just Opened: One Savvy Design Consignment Shop
This new business on Church Street is shabby— but classy—chic.
A consignment store, One Savvy Design, has opened at 74 Church Street, giving both women and men a way to declutter their closets while putting money back into their pockets.
Looking for Manolo Blahnik pumps? You can find them here. What about a Missoni shirt? They're here too. There also are Chanel bags and handmade headbands. There's a summertime men's suit from Italy—with the tags still on it—for $300.
There is a rack filled with jeans priced from $49 to $99, everything from Juicy Couture to Louis Vuitton to True Religion. Rows of fashionable shoes are priced from $29 to $200.
The owner says she accepts everything "from Coach on up." She emphasizes that there is something for everyone at One Savvy Design, with a wide range of price points starting at $25.
One Savvy Design is a consignment shop that also sells antique furniture. Indeed, there are even several chandeliers on hand priced from about $325 to $625.
When it comes to the clothing, most of it seems aimed at women in their 20s, 30s, 40s, and 50s, although there is plenty of clothing for men here as well.
As is standard with consignments, the store takes 50 percent of each sale; anything unsold is returned to the consignor or donated to charity. The owner accepts mostly name brands but will take other items if they are unusual or eclectic.
One Savvy Design opened just over two weeks ago in a perfect spot: right next door to Milk Money, which sells used children's clothing, toys and accessories on a consignment basis.
So stop by and check it out. One Savvy Design is open Tuesdays through Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sundays from noon to 5 p.m. The shop is closed on Mondays.
