Zina Phillips, director of business and client services and one of the
original creators of the Le Parc Place concept, is a Montclair resident
whose family has 20 years of experience operating a private preschool
in Rockland County, New York.

"Our goal is to create an environment that is warm, loving and safe. We want children and parents alike to feel as if they are apart of something that is special for them," she said. "Everything we do is to promote family togetherness. It's the simple things that make a big difference."

Services such as the "La Nannie Du Parc"—an onsite caregiver for just $15 per hour— and the "Simple Life" concierge—which helps with grocery shopping, dry cleaning, and other daily errands—are all designed to assist the working or stay-at-home parent.

Workshops such as Hebrew, drama, and other classes also will be available at Le Parc, which is open seven days a week.

"When schools are closed we are open," said Andrea Schwartzman, Le Parc's event planner.

The preschool's classrooms are designed like an extension of the home and utilize a newly refined form of teaching designed for babies through age 5—The Miko Method of Learning, which stands for (Mixed Intergrated Knowledge Orientation). Teachers are required to have a degree and/or master's degree in early childhood education. Emergence language classes will be offered in Spanish, French, and Mandarin (an optional choice for parents).

Fees are between $875 to $1275 per month. A menu option of hot organic meals is offered or the parents can send packed lunches. Preschool hours are from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. and aftercare is available as well. Half-day plans also may be scheduled.

Meanwhile, Parc ‘n Play is a fully equipped playspace with toys for toddlers through age 8. Free coffee and WiFi are available to parents while kids interact with each other and the staff for fun and crafts.

La Nannie is an on-the-spot sitting service where you may drop off your youngster(s) at the Parc 'n Play between 8:30 a.m. and 8 p.m. on weekdays and between 9 a.m. and 7 p.m. on weekends (with extended hours by request) while professional nannies take care of them.

Le Parc Parties is a full-service party planning program for birthdays or other types of celebrations both onsite and offsite.

Parc ‘n Play offers daily, weekly and monthly rates. For one price families can come and go as they please throughout the day.

La Nannie services are offered to those who take part in Parc ‘n Play at an additional $15 per hour for up to two children. A third child is only $5 extra. Two moms heading to a movie, for example, may team up to pay for this sevice for their combined children.
