The following is a list of open warming centers and charging centers released by the township on Thursday. 

PLEASE NOTE: PETS ARE NOT PERMITTED IN THE WARMING CENTERS.
If you are displaced from your home and need to temporarily shelter your pet, you may bring your pet to the Montclair Township Animal Shelter at 77 North Willow Street, Montclair. All pets brought to the Shelter must have a carrier and vaccine records. If your pet requires a special diet, bring your pet’s food as well.

Essex County has relocated its emergency shelter to the Turtle Back Zoo Education/Reptile Building which is located at 560 Northfield Avenue, West Orange. Any resident wanting to take advantage of the shelter should do so. The facility is set up to take pets.

Dates/Times:The Community Wing Warming Center in the auditorium of the Main Library-will remain open for 24 hours through Friday, November 9. Library Services will be available: Monday 10:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m.; Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday 10:00 a.m.–8:00 p.m.; Friday 10:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m. The Library is showing movies in the Community Wing throughout the day.

Name: Bellevue Avenue Branch Library

Dates/Times: The Bellevue Library Branch will will be open as a Community Center Safe Haven through Friday, November 9, 2:00–6:00 p.m. The Branch does not have Internet access at this time.
