What's the most romantic movie of all time? For this Patch editor, it's Notting Hill. There's just something irresistible about Hugh Grant's accent and self-deprecating humor. But a neighbor recently told me her favorite was American President, a movie one might not normally think of as overly romantic.

Another neighbor, Christine James, cited When Harry Met Sally.

"I quote it regularly. There are so many truisms," she said. "I try to be low maintenance but maybe I am the worst kind—I think I'm low maintenance but I'm really high!"

When asked her favorite, Montclair resident Jacqueline Jacobson Scarfo said she didn't even have to think about it.

"My fave romantic film is the original A Man and a Woman ... the French are so romantic and gorgeous," she said.

Another area resident, Bronwyn O'Neil, said her favorites include Pride and Prejudice with Keira Knightley because "no one is as romantic as Jane Austen."

With Valentine's Day just days away, many TV and movie screens will be showing a variety of romantic flicks. And this begs the question: what's your favorite?

Are you a sucker for The Notebook? Does The Way We Were still bring a tear to your eye? Is Gone With The Wind still the greatest Hollywood ode to the heart?

In a Time Out New York listing of the 50 most romantic movies of all time, Casablanca was number one.

But everyone has their own opinion. Some hate the sappy (Say Anything springs to mind) while others could watch films like Sleepless in Seattle again and again.
