Help Save qba! The Closed Cuban Kitchen Seeks Partner
Montclair's Cuban Kitchen is looking for financial help.
Last week, a sign reading "Business Partner Wanted" appeared in the window at 128 Watchung Avenue, the site of the now closed brick and mortar extension of the popular qba food truck. The sign in the window also included a plea to: "Help Save qba!" In addition, a post also appeared on qba's facebook page, "seeking business partner."
According to owner, Lynna Martinez, she has taken qba as far as she can on her own, and is seeking a business partner "with industry experience and just enough money to help me reopen the store."
She said she's had to close qba until she can find a financial backer to help her reopen.

It was only last February that Martinez launched the restaurant in the former Orbis site in Watchung Plaza.
Martinez has described qba as an award-winning Cuban restaurant and catering company. The restaurant offers “slow-cooked food served fast,” specializing in affordable and authentic Cuban fare. It also offers catering services for lunch, dinner, and special events via the qba Truck. Visit the restaurant's website to view a complete menu.
