Anne, a 16-year resident of Montclair, is on her third location in 15 years and has been comfortably settled on Church Street for the past two. "We get a lot of people who come for the great restaurants in the area and find us by chance," she explains. These fortunate shoppers join King's loyal followers in dependably enjoying the luck of the Irish when it comes to finding unique gifts here.

King started out in the import business 26 years ago with her father and continued on her own to celebrate her interest and pride in her Irish heritage. The constantly updating stock reflects Anne's ever changing eye for new classics—Irish or otherwise—as evidenced with her acquisition of the store's eye-defying optical illusion discs. These are sure to delight children of all ages—even ones with children of their own. "I found them at an international gift show and just had to have them" says King. "They're just so fun!"

This petite place packs a lot of punch into its small square footage and decidedly straightforward, non-frilly presentation.
