Spring Leaf Collection Begins April 2

And grass clipping collection for composting begins in May



The Montclair spring leaf collection program will run from April 2 through April 30. During this period the township will collect leaves placed at the curb in biodegradable paper bags only. Leaves placed in plastic bags of any type will not be collected.

Loose leaves cannot be deposited into the street. Leaves must be free of miscellaneous debris; e.g., branches, dirt, rocks, stones, etc. Leaf bags containing these items will not be collected. Leaf bags shall be limited to a weight of fifty (50) pounds or less. Leaf bags weighing more than fifty pounds will not be collected.

Free leaf bags are not distributed during the spring leaf collection program. Free leaf bags are available during the fall program only.

Grass Clippings will be collected for composting from May through mid October. Grass clippings may be placed at the curb in biodegradable paper bags or rigid containers not weighing more than 50 pounds each. Grass clippings are collected on the regularly scheduled recycling day.
