Usher In Summer With A Special 'Toast'—Peal Of Laughter

The event on Wednesday evening is designed to benefit the MFEE as a whole.

Usher in the first day of summer with a ... PEAL OF LAUGHTER. This not-to-be-missed event, on Wednesday, June 20, is an unusual Toast designed not just to benefit one school—but the Montclair Fund for Educational Excellence (MFEE) as a whole.

PEAL OF LAUGHTER includes "The Sneeze" and "The Bear," one-act plays by Anton Chekhov, translated and adapted by Michael Frayn.

The actors are all professionals who also happen to be parents of public school children in Montclair.

They include Gregor Clark, Sean Haberle, Stephanie Roth Haberle, Seth Jambors, Julie Fain Lawrence, Claudine Ohayon, and Debbie Saivetz—parents of children at Bradford, Bullock, Hillside, Northeast, Mount Hebron, Renaissance, and the Montclair Community Pre-K.

Behind the event are two of those performers, Montclair State University professors Lawrence and Saivetz, who have been working to gather together a group of actors and artists with the hopes of launching a summer theatre company in Montclair.

They say that PEAL OF LAUGHTER is the first step towards achieving this goal.

Tickets for PEAL OF LAUGHTER will be $15 at the door or you can reserve a seat online at www.mfee.org under Toast #101.

So please come out on June 20 for a special hour of entertainment honoring Montclair's schools and the MFEE.

The event will be at Montclair State University's L. Howard Fox Theatre from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., with the performance starting at 7 p.m. A reception and light refreshments will follow.

The event is co-hosted by Julie Lawrence-Edsell and John Edsell, Debbie Saivetz and Luis Romero, Stacie Passon and Alyson Shapero, and the MSU Department of Theatre and Dance.

The L. Howard Fox Theatre is located in the Speech Building just adjacent to Memorial Auditorium. For parking directions and a map of MSU please visit:
