With Cilantro and Mexicali Rose Closed, Where Will You Get Your Mexican Food Fix?

Keeping up with Montclair's restaurant scene is like keeping tabs on a toddler in a toy store.

A walk around downtown reveals that has re-opened at 558 Bloomfield Avenue after being closed recently for three days by New Jersey tax officials.

Around the corner at at 10 Park Street, new signs plastered along the window have announced that a New Mexicali Rose will re-open soon.

Like Greek Delights, the restaurant also was recently closed by New Jersey tax officials.

In addition, also nearby, Cilantro Tex-Mex at 537 Bloomfield Avenue is closed due to a family emergency, according to signs in the window.

Over the summer, Sesame closed its doors at the corner of Bloomfield Avenue and Seymour Street.

Of course, many restaurants have opened as well, including Upstairs, Brick Lane, and Grid Iron Waffles. Fin, a new raw bar, will be opening Oct. 1 on Glenridge Avenue.
