Founded in 1928, the Calvary Lutheran Church of Verona is active in community service, especially when it comes to feeding the hungry. The church engages in food drives for the benefit of local pantries. Rev. Gregg Ramirez leads services twice on Sundays; a contemporary worship service with Christian musicians and vocalists at 8:30am, followed by a traditional service at 10:45am. The last Sunday of each month, the services are combined for an "all together" service. The church, located on South Prospect Street, also houses the Community Montessori Academy Christian pre-school.
