Essex Pool Closes, One Month to Mountie Pride Fun Run

Patch has put together some things you need to know for Friday. 

Essex Pool will close for the season Sunday, August 25 at 7 p.m. Nishuane and Mountainside pools will remain open through Labor Day, Monday, Sept. 2. Pool hours are Monday through Friday, noon to 7 p.m. and weekends and Labor Day from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.

You have a month to train! The Montclair Fund for Educational Excellence (MFEE) and the Montclair High School — School Action Team are co-hosting the first annual Mountie Pride Fun Run on Sunday, Sept. 22 at Woodman Field. 

Own a piece of Presby. Historic iris rhizomes from the Presby Memorial Iris Gardens are available for sale online at www.etsy.com/shop/PresbyIris. Each week all summer long, new iris varieties will be added to the Etsy shop. August 23 and 24 are rhizome pick up days for those who pre-ordered unidentified rhizome “grab bags” during Bloom Season or wish to purchase “grab bags.”
