Give Feedback on Future of Montclair Police, Make Your Own Hanukkah Book

What's happening in Montclair on Tuesday.

Patch has put together some things you need to know for Tuesday. 

Temple Ner Tamid will host “Make Your Own Hanukkah Pop-Up Book” on Tuesday in the lobby of the Hinck Building. The free event begins at 4 p.m. and will be followed by a community Menorah lighting.

The Montclair Council will convene on Tuesday, at 7 p.m., for a conference meeting. On the agenda is a public hearing on an ordinance to create a position of civilian police director.

Members of the Montclair Police Department's two unions recently gave Chief David Sabagh a unanimous vote of no confidence. Meanwhile, officers of the New Jersey State Association of Chiefs of Police came to the council to support Sabagh and his record during his nine years as chief.

The Oratorio Society of New Jersey will present its Messiah Sing! on Tuesday, at 7:30 p.m., at St. James Episcopal Church in Upper Montclair.
