Technology is becoming more and more ubiquitous with every passing day. The shockwaves that the iPod caused when it was introduced pale in comparison to the reverberations that ripple through the economy on a daily basis. The rise of technology in the marketplace and the economy as a whole is clearly evidenced in daily life as well as the fact that CNBC, a global business news network, has created a new show that airs from 11 a.m. – 12 p.m. Mon-Fri dedicated exclusively to covering technology firms.

Ipads and other tablets are everywhere, e-books have surpassed paper books, newspapers are bleeding market share, employees, and profits, and with the recent introduction of wearable technology this trend is only going to continue.

Sounds great, right?

Yes it does, until you begin to remember all the data breaches that have occurred during the last year, including the recent attacks on oil and gas firms (attributed to Russian hackers). It is worth stating that obvious concerns that come with all of this data and information. With more and more devices and gadgets being synced together with wireless networks, the obvious concern is whether or not all of this data is safe?
