The Essex County Board of Chosen Freeholders presented Montclair-based S.O.F.I.A. (Start Out Fresh Intervention Advocates), which supports women and children who are victims of domestic violence, with a special proclamation on Tuesday, Oct. 22.
"It was truly an honor to accept this Proclamation on behalf of The S.O.F.I.A. Team from Freeholder Gerald Owens and the Board of Freeholders of Essex County," said S.O.F.I.A. Founder Cynthia Walker. "We strive towards helping those in need. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts."
