Montclair Resident Adrienne Zitka Honored By YWCA Tribute to Women Award

Montclair resident Adrienne Zitka, Esq. will be among 51 women to be honored at the 35th Annual Tribute to Women and Industry Awards Dinner, sponsored by YWCA Union County at the Bridgewater Marriott Hotel on May 8th.  She serves as Legal Counsel at DSM North America - Legal & Governmental Affairs in Parsippany.

Ms. Zitka joined DSM North America as a member of the law department in February 2011. Adrienne has supported DSM’s pharmaceutical, biomedical materials and fibers businesses. Over the past months, Adrienne was a key contributor in the $2.6 billion deal between DSM and the private equity firm JLL partners, merging DSM’s pharmaceutical business with Patheon, forming DPx, a leading global contract development and manufacturing organization with 8,300 employees and 23 sites worldwide. Throughout her tenure, Adrienne has consistently role modeled the DSM values demonstrated by her active participation in the creation of the DSM NA Relief Fund (post Hurricane Sandy) and the Dress for Success campaign that provided appropriate business attire to women rejoining the work force. She is also a member of NJ Law Journal’s 2013 NJ legal department of the year; the Association of Corporate Counsel; and the national academic honor society, Phi Beta Kappa.  Adrienne is also a LEED Accredited Professional through the U.S. Green Building Council and a Morris K. Udall scholar.  Adrienne holds her JD from Rutgers University School of Law and is a member of the NJ Bar.

YWCA Union County's Tribute to Women & Industry (TWIN) Award is a nationally-recognized honor for women. Since creating the TWIN award 35 years ago, the YWCA has honored women in executive, managerial, and other professional roles who have made significant contributions in their fields.  This important award recognizes successful women executives for their outstanding achievements and honors those companies that have provided opportunities for women to achieve their potential.

The TWIN Program benefits YWCA Union County’s programs for victims of domestic violence, such as emergency shelters.  Its TWIN Management Forum (TMF) is a network of TWIN honorees that meets regularly to take part in a variety of programs on career and personal development. TMF attracts diverse and talented members who experience personal and professional enrichment through its networking programs. In addition, this group provides an opportunity to help other women achieve their educational and career goals through the TMF Scholarship Fund.

Johnson & Johnson and its Family of Companies, a long-time supporter of TWIN, is serving as this year’s Host Company. Donna N. Godward, Chief Quality Officer, MD&D, Johnson & Johnson Corporate, is serving as the Honorary Chair for the event.  Suzanne Fiorino, Senior Director, MD&D, Strategy, Analytics and Sustainability, Johnson & Johnson is this year’s Gala Corporate Chair.
