WNET, parent company of New York’s public television stations THIRTEEN and WLIW21 and operator of NJTV, announced the promotion of of Montclair resident John Servidio to the position of Vice President, Subsidiary Stations; General Manager, NJTV .
Previously, Servidio served as General Manager of WLIW21 and General Manager of NJTV. In his new role, Servidio will oversee the strategic direction of subsidiary stations NJTV and WLIW21. He will also continue to serve as General Manager of NJTV, managing day-to-day operations of the station.John was instrumental in launching and nurturing NJTV into a thriving local station, delivering more local content than ever to all corners of the state, including new series and an excellent week-nightly news broadcast – all while keeping the station in the black financially,” said Neal Shapiro, President and CEO WNET. “John will ensure that WNET’s subsidiary stations continue WNET’s on-going commitment to presenting the topics and issues most important to the New York Metro-area community.
