Side Door is BACK!!!

Side Door is back!  Side Door, Montclair’s only free drop-in center for middle school students, re-opened on Friday September 20th.    114 middle school students from all over Montclair came to Side Door and:  played basketball, made rainbow loop bracelets, played catch, blew bubbles, played 4-square, watched a movie, played pool, foosball or nok hockey, ate pizza, saw their friends, made new friends, and otherwise had a great time.

Now in its 11th year, Side Door offers Montclair middle school students a safe and supervised place to spend Friday afternoons from 2:15 – 5:00 pm.  With volunteers from Montclair State University and Montclair High School on hand to keep things lively, and with adult volunteers on hand to keep things safe, we offer 6th-8th graders an alternative to staying home or hanging out unsupervised in Upper Montclair or Anderson Park.  Side Door is located at Union Congregational Church (176 Cooper Ave in Upper Montclair).
