The Calais School Offers an Interactive Extended School Year Program for Pre-K through 12Plus

The Calais School is currently accepting applications for the 2014 Extended School Year Program

 

The Calais School is currently accepting applications for our Extended School Year (ESY) Program. The program begins on July 1, 2014 and runs through August 12, 2014. Students do not have to be current Calais students to participate. The Extended School Year Program provides academic and social integration in all activities and features a safe, nurturing environment. Classes are taught by special education teachers. Additional support services include speech and language, psychological services counseling and a school nurse on staff.

The Calais School offers a program which encompasses academics, social skills and recreational development. Highlights include project-based learning; fun with computers and iPads; programs that promote artistic expression and foster music and dance appreciation; recreational activities, field trips and special events; and activities-based learning that cultivate social skills.

Additionally, Calais high school and 12Plus students are offered career exploration and life skills programs. Highlights include Math and English college placement test preparation; animation/movie making and digital arts education; floriculture/landscape design experience; child care provider/assistant experience; general office occupation opportunities and culinary activities.
