BlueWaveNJ to March in Montclair's July 4th Parade

In recognition of the 50th anniversary of 1964's Freedom Summer, BlueWave's theme is "Save Democracy - Vote!"

BlueWaveNJ, a Montclair-based grassroots organization focused on progressive issues, will once again have a float and dozens of marchers participating in Montclair's Independence Parade on Friday, July 4.

The organization's float, banners and marchers wearing Uncle Sam hats and sashes will be promoting the twin missions of Protecting Voting Rights and Getting Money Out of Politics.

"Participating in Montclair's annual July 4th parade is one of the highlights of our year and a great opportunity to join the community to celebrate our freedom and bring attention to important local and national issues such as protecting voting rights of citizens most vulnerable to discrimination," said Marcia Marley, BlueWaveNJ president and founder.
