Montclair took home an award for “Favorite Downtown Arts District" at The ArtPride New Jersey Foundation’s Sixth Annual JerseyArts.com People’s Choice Awards Thursday.
“We are thrilled by this recognition,” said Luther Flurry, executive director of the Montclair Center Business Improvement District. “Whether you are talking world-class shows or local buskers, the arts are always front and center in Montclair.”
This year the ceremony was held at the Golden Nugget in Atlantic City.
The annual People’s Choice Awards acknowledge the work of the state’s vital, vibrant and diverse arts community. Presented to the nonprofit arts groups voted “favorite” by the public, the Awards honor both the work of nonprofit arts organizations and the devotion of their fans. Categories for the Awards range from theater, symphony/orchestra and dance company to museum, film festival, downtown arts district and more.
