Montclair's Mountainside Park Opening For Sledding

Plus, other snow-related announcements from the township.

Montclair Public Schools are closed for a snow day, which means sledding at Mountainside Park.

The slope at the Upper Mountain Avenue park (by the Presby Iris Gardens) is perfect for sledding and a popular spot for the young and young at heart. 

From noon to 4 p.m. Wednesday, township police will close the street from Laurel Avenue to Mt. Hebron Road for supervised sledding.

Other Snow-Related Announcements

  • Recreation Department activities are canceled Wednesday.
  • The senior bus will remain out of service for the remainder of Wednesday and will return to service on the regular schedule Thursday. 
  • The evening shuttle service will resume Wednesday night.
  • The Montclair Public Library is open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday.
