Pushcart Players Host a "Royal Celebration" This Afternoon

Troupe to hold performances, silent auction today.

Pushcart Players
will celebrate 38 years of bringing theatre to young audiences throughout New Jersey and beyond with “A Royal Celebration,” a fundraising event to be held on today at the Montclair Art Museum from 2-5 p.m.

The afternoon will feature a performance of “Happily Ever After… A Cinderella Tale,” followed by a Tea Party at the Palace, complete with delectable food and drink, behind-the-scenes tours, photos with a favorite character from the show and the opportunity to tour the museum.

In addition, Pushcart Players have been hosting an ongoing online silent auction since May 13. Bidding for the silent auction closed yesterday.

Items up for auction include: House seats to “hard to get” theatre productions, vacation packages, signed memorabilia, unique art, stunning jewelry items, personalized cooking classes, dress-up trunk for girls, dress up trunk for boys, Tea Sets fit for Royalty and much, much more.

“The economic climate in recent years has made it increasingly difficult to sustain our mission of bringing the arts to young people in their schools,” said Ruth Fost, Executive/Artistic Director of Pushcart Players. “We are looking forward to this very special fundraising event for the company, which in turn will benefit thousands of young viewers throughout the state.”

Advance sale tickets will cost $45 for adults and $25 for children 12 and younger.

Reservations may be made by emailing information@pushcartplayers.org or by calling (973) 857-1115.
