Film Screening - Scottsboro: An American Tragedy

This PBS documentary recalls the case of nine black teenaged boys wrongly convicted of raping a white woman in Alabama in 1931.  This case of injustice is considered one of the most significant legal fights of the 20th century, one of many labeled "legal lynching." Christine Roz Samuels, former vice-president of the local NAACP chapter, will lead the discussion after the screening.
