Walnut Street Sidewalk Fair Boosts Ambulance Unit's Community Education Effort

More than 1,100 people attended the second annual event that helped expand the ambulance unit's offerings of classes and seminars.

The more than 1,100 people who enjoyed the Walnut Street Sidewalk Fair helped strengthen the Montclair Ambulance Unit's effort to expand its community education programs.

The second annual event helped boost funds for the ambulance unit. The street fair included tours of an MAU ambulance, introduction of the NJ EMS Task Force All-Terrain Rescue Ambulance and MAU representatives met with members of the business community and Montclair residents to answer questions about community education programs for CPR and Basic First Aid and MAU’s Community Outreach and Be Ready Montclair programs.

"Montclair Ambulance Unit commends the dozens of residents and businesses for taking the first steps and expressing interest in our education and preparedness programs to the entire community," the unit wrote in a statement.
