Dakota Johnson, Charlie Hunnam to Play Leads in 'Fifty Shades of Grey' Film

What do you think of the casting for the film version of the erotic novel?

Hundreds of comments were posted. More than a thousand votes were cast. In March 2012, Montclair Patch readers had a lot to say about who should play the lead roles in the movie adaptation of E.L. James' erotic novel "Fifty Shades of Grey".

The wait is over.

The author announced Monday that Anastasia Steele and Christian Grey will be portrayed by Dakota Johnson ("Ben and Kate") and Charlie Hunnam ("Sons of Anarchy").

She tweeted, "Good moaning all. Hold on to your hats..." "I am delighted to let you know that the lovely Dakota Johnson has agreed to be our Anastasia in the film adaptation of Fifty Shades of Grey."

Then, about an hour later, came.... "The gorgeous and talented Charlie Hunnam will be Christian Grey in the film adaptation of Fifty Shades of Grey."

Now it's back to waiting. The film version of the first book in the Grey trilogy is expected to be released on August 1, 2014.
