Musical Duo Kennedy and Sobel to Perform at Outdoor Chuch St. Summer Music Fest

Music fest is scheduled June 7.

The Church Street Summer Music Festival, proudly sponsored by Tapastry Restaurant, is back for the 2012 season with an exciting lineup of local musicians.

The well-attended Thursday and Saturday night outdoor shows will be managed and hosted by Meg Beattie and Julian Keenan and will run all summer long from Memorial Day through Labor Day.

Tim Kennedy and Dave Sobel are both residents of Montclair and members of Parents Who Rock. They will play Thursday evening, June 7, from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. Beattie will open, with the pair coming on at about 8 p.m. The two are known as polished performers who frequent several local open mics in Montclair including Studio 12 and have been featured artists at the MPL music series as well as in the main dining room at Tapastry. They play a blend of Americana, folk, rock and indie tunes which showcase their skillful guitarmanship. Sobel plays guitar, banjo, and madolin. Kennedy plays guitar. They alternate singing lead and harmony.

Tapastry owners, Cheryl and Greg Spinelli, are delighted to run the annual music festival again this year and have an opportunity to foster the arts alongside serving up their unique al fresco tapas dining experience. Tapastry's authentic menu is created by Chef Gonzolo Fernandez. BYOB. Tapastry Restaurant, 12 Church St. For reservations, call 973-233-0216.
