State Awards Montclair Arts Groups More than $300K
The organizations will receive the amounts awarded for each of the next three years.
Five Montclair arts institutions received more than $300,000 in funding from the New Jersey State Council of the Arts on July 23, the Montclair Times reported.
The organizations are as follows:
- Montclair Art Museum $271,652
- Montclair State University Arts & Cultural Programming $49,513
- Montclair State University Art Galleries $12,828
- Danmari LTD $5,648
- Freespace Dance $5,000
The funds—a total of $344,641—are part of the $15.6 million the council doled out to 800 Garden State arts groups. Of the awards given, Montclair Art Museum's allocation was the 10th largest, the article said.
