British Royal Wedding Boon For American Retailers

U.S. businesses taking advantage of interest in Friday's ceremony

Didn’t make the guest list for the royal wedding of Prince William and Catherine Middleton? Well, you can still celebrate the occasion thanks to an array of U.S. businesses taking advantage of interest in Friday's nuptials—and certainly seeing dollar (pound) signs at the same time.

Here are just a few examples:

—Dunkin’ Donuts is introducing a special, limited edition Royal Wedding Donut— described as "a heart shaped donut filled with jelly and topped with vanilla icing and a chocolate drizzle" (offer only available between April 24 to 29.)

—The Papa John's pizza chain has commissioned a pizza that uses toppings to create an edible portrait of the royal couple including a dress made of cheese and a veil made of mushroom.

—Kate Middleton's replica engagement ring now available on Amazon starting at $22.99.

—And my personal favorite that's also available on Amazon: the "Don't Panic There's Still One Prince Left" coaster starting at $3.50.
