Gourmet Fairway Market Opening Up June 6

The nearby store will feature wines and spirits, artisanal cheeses, gluten-free items and much more.

 

The New York City gourmet market Fairway is coming to Route 46, moving into the old Pathmark in Woodland Park, with a grand opening scheduled June 6.

The 63,000-square-foot store, which will open to the pubic at 11 a.m., will feature a vast selection of beer, wines, and spirits, as well as more than 600 artisanal cheeses and various imported specialty items.

Dozens of hot dishes will be prepared fresh in Fairway's kitchen. Also available will be homemade mozzarella, sushi, pasta, and 45,000 traditional, specialty, and organic groceries.

More than 100 varieties of olive oils will be on sale, as well as more than 70 types of olives.

In general, Fairway stores have long specialized in produce and fish, roasting their own coffee on site, and offering large organic sections. They hand make their own mozzarella and boast in-store bakeries.

There are nine Fairway markets in the tri-state area, including one in Paramus.
