Montclair Food And Wine Festival Tasting Coming May 31

The Montclair Art Museum's galleries will be open during the tasting.

After the hot and steamy debut of the Montclair Food and Wine Festival in June 2013, the organizers have worked to make 2014 hotter, albeit with air conditioning. Instead of just two days, 2014 will see the event expanded to three, May 31, June 1, and June 2.

A favorite event of the festival is the Grand Tasting, held this year at the Montclair Art Museum. The May 31 event will be feature more than thirty of the best restaurants from Montclair and across the Garden State where chefs will sample their favorite dishes to an admiring public. During the Grand Tasting the museum galleries will be open for viewing. Known for its collection of Native American Art, there are a few surprises in the galleries including works by Edward Hopper, George Inness, and James Merritt Ives. Gary’s Wine & Marketplace with three New Jersey locations will coordinate wines.
