$31 Dinner? And the incentive is?

I have noticed that these Restaurant Weeks are no longer bargains for customers, but merely seem to be ways for the restaurants to promote themselves. This is not just in the towns of Essex County, but pretty much everywhere. I work in Manhattan where they used to have a great one. You used to be able to get a bargain lunch or dinner at some of the finer restaurants. It would allow you to try places that you normally could not afford to go to. Not any more. It is more a way for them to advertise more and give a meager discount.

after seeing the review and pics of Bistro 18 on Hot From The Kettle I'm gonna make a guess that the $31 is what we'll be paid to eat there

Are any (or all) of the participating restaurants planning to donate anything to Toni's Kitchen? ie perhaps a portion of proceeds of $31.00 or food?
