Santa Was in Montclair, And We Have Proof

Santa Claus to star in holiday downtown promotion.

Kris Kringle was spotted hanging out in Montclair Center last week, where he reportedly enjoyed a meal, did some shopping and took in a show, Montclair Center BID Executive Director Luther Flurry said Monday.

Dressed in his signature red suit and black boots, Kringle also posed for some photos to help promote holiday shopping in downtown Montclair. He took a break to check his list sitting on a bench on South Park Street and stood under the Clairidge Theater marquis reading "It's a Wonderful Life at Montclair Center."

Before heading back to the North Pole, a friendly Kringle stopped to chat with fans and hand out his business cards.

"It was wonderful visiting MONTCLAIR CENTER. Everyone was so nice! Beautiful shops...and done taking pixs, I walked around town, it's a WONDERFUL town. I am going to get myself back there real soon."

Flurry said Kringle will make one more stop in Montclair before Christmas. Save the date for the traditional tree lighting scheduled for Friday, Dec. 6.

Montclair Center was just named a 2013 Great Downtown in New Jersey by the American Planning Association-New Jersey Chapter.
