Welcome To Park Slope West, er, Walnut Street Montclair May 3

Welcome To Walnut Street runs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, May 3.

Walnut Street in Montclair is the eclectic neighborhood of great shops, locally owned restaurants, and the best damn bakery in the Garden State. A little funky, a little hipster, a little elegant and always creative, Walnut Street has been called “Park Slope West” by some, of course there are others in the area that refer to Brooklyn as “Montclair East.” Whatever you call it, Walnut Street is a place to discover. Come Saturday May 3rd from 10 to 2 to for “Welcome To Walnut Street” when all of the best the neighborhood will open their doors and spill out onto the sidewalk for a great day of outdoor fun.

Walnut Street is home to Montclair’s Best Italian Restaurant (Corso 98) and DG favorites Le Salbuen and Red Eye Cafe. Not to be missed are Egan and Sons and Mac Attack  Gourmet Cheesery. Since purchasing Montclair Bread Company, Rachel Crampsey has approached the world of baking with a “why not – can do” attitude that draws customers from all over the Garden State. She’s taken that attitude to a community level to celebrate the neighborhood MBC anchors. It’s also Montclair Bread Company’s second birthday. Devil Gourmet is proud to be the media sponsor of this feast for the senses.
