Plant Sales in Montclair, Here I Come!
It's almost May and that means it's almost time to start shopping the local plant sales for garden plants! And everyone can always use a few more garden plants, can't they?
It’s almost May and that means it’s almost time to start shopping the local plant sales for garden plants! And everyone can always use a few more garden plants, can’t they?
Herbs, tropicals, perennials, annuals, veggies, natives, shrubs and even trees….whatever you need, you’ll probably be able to find it (or something even better) at one of these plant sales. The available varieties are usually extensive
and varied and the prices are usually very reasonable. Who could ask for more?
I have so much fun checking out the plants, looking for bargains and finding new and unusual plants. A quick walk around to get a quick overview at each sale and then it’s time for a slow, meandering walk around looking for the perfect plants to bring home to my garden…studying plants…reading labels…dreaming how good it would look in my garden. Every year before I go, I make a rule that I’ll only buy plants that I have a specific and definite spot for. And, of course, every year
once I’m at the plant sales, I’m overcome with plant-lust and forget all about
that rule! I always come home with a lot more plants than I need! And in the end, everything finds a home.
This year will be an even better time! Not only will I be shopping for me, I’ll be
shopping for a few customers’ gardens as well. It all starts next weekend….let the fun begin!
