Dog Licenses Need to be Renewed, Rabies Clinics Coming Up

Don't forget to get your dog licenses at the start of the new year.

Got a pooch in the house? Then don't forget to renew your dog's license with the township.

Dog licenses need to be renewed annually in Montclair. This year, all licensing requires dogs to have their current rabies vaccinations. Make sure your dog rabies vaccination does not expire before Nov. 1, 2013.

If your dog was recently vaccinated, a copy of the rabies vaccination certificate should be enclosed with the license form.

All dog licenses must be renewed by March 1. A $5 late fee will be incurred thereafter.

You can download a dog license application form by clicking here.

The fees for dog liceneses are as follows:

• Neutered/spayed – $8
• Non-neutered/spayed – $11

To renew your dog license by mail, send the license form with rabies vaccination certificate (if required) and a check made payable to “The Township of Montclair" to:

Township of Montclair Vital Statistics
Dog and Cat Licenses
205 Claremont Ave.

Your tag will be mailed to you. Any returned checks will incur a $20 fee and must be paid in cash, otherwise your dog will be recorded as unlicensed and subject to a summons.
