Midtown Direct Resumes Regular Service Monday

Three weeks after Hurricane Sandy, NJ Transit will restore weekday service to the Montclair-Boonton Line starting Monday. Midtown Direct service between Montclair State University and New York will operate on a regular schedule, which can be found here.

Service between Hackettstown and Hoboken on Monday will run on a modified schedule, which can be found here

Montclair Man Killed in Police Chase in Newark Last Week

A 32-year-old Upper Montclair man was killed in Newark Nov. 10 after he was struck by a fleeing car during a police chase, a spokesman for the New Jersey State Police confirmed Thursday. 

New Superintendent Gets PTA Feedback

New Montclair Superintendent Penny MacCormack convened a congress of Montclair’s 11 public school Parent Teacher Associations Tuesday at the Montclair Public Library to introduce herself and discuss her vision for the district.  

Montclair Honors America's Armed Forces

While the sound of a lone trumpet could be heard playing “Taps” during Monday’s Veterans Day ceremony in Edgemont Memorial Park, the gathered crowd listened and reflected and the Montclair Police Honor Guard fired three rifle volleys into the air.

Leonid Meteor Shower 2012: Where to Watch in Montclair

Keep your eyes on the sky during the pre-dawn hours between Saturday and Tuesday, Nov. 20, because that's when the famous Leonid meteor shower is expected to peak. 

These meteors are fast -- about 40 miles per second -- and can leave trails of smoke, according to Astronomy.com. They will appear to radiate from the constellation Leo the Lion and can vary in color.
