Second Nishuane Park Water Well Project Meeting Held Tonight
A building, workspace, access road off of High Street and water well are being proposed to be built at the park, which is protected by the state's Green Acres Program.

There will be a public meeting for residents starting at 7 p.m. in the municipal building, at 205 Claremont Ave, to discuss the project with local officials.

A building, workspace, access road off of High Street and water well are being proposed to be built which will help expand the township's water treatment capabilities. The total estimated cost of the project is about $2 million, according to the township website.
The proposal at the park, located at Cedar Avenue, will take up a little less than a half an acre, and the building will be constructed in two phases.

In addition, the parkland is restricted under the state of New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection Green Acres program. A public meeting on that topic was held on Wednesday.
As compensation for the parkland, the township agreed to provide funding in the amount of $130,000 for recreation improvements.
