A WALK ON THE WILD SIDE (OF ANDERSON PARK)

This walking tour visits the east side of this Essex County
park in Montclair, near the brook. Discover trees and shrubs that date from the
plantings of John Olmsted around 1905 or are descendants of
those plantings.  Learn how this little pocket of the park differs
from other sections.  See what plantings Friends of Anderson Park have
been adding here.  We will also discuss Toney’s Brook, which borders
this edge of the park, and examine a map to trace its course through
Montclair. Led by landscape historian Judith Earley.  Meet at
the boulder at the park’s northeast entrance. Light rain
does not cancel, but heavy rain reschedules to Sunday, April 27, same
time.  Information: (862)
