A WORLD Under GLASS Class in the Parcel WORKSHOP!
A world of faeries, a
spooky forest, a formal garden, a family of picnickers.... The law of
the land is up to you! Apprentice farmer, crafter, and former Parcel gal
Marisa Canova will lead you in exploring your visions! Using
a variety of new and vintage materials-- papers, felts, ribbons,
cotton, wool-- you will learn to form and sculpt your own landscapes.
These plants won't need weeding and watering, just a little inspiration.
You can choose from our selection of crafting materials or our
collected finds of tiny tree trunks, twigs, and rocks to design and
install your own garden, forest, or meadow. Marisa will demonstrate how
to arrange the scene to get the most from your vision, whether you
desire a firefly dancing mid-air, or some tiny handmade tools for your
terrarium's resident lumberjack. We will have many small people and
animals on hand to populate your kingdom. Terrariums will be housed in
large glass containers, supplied by Parcel, unless you wish to bring
your own containers! You are also encouraged to bring your own special
critters to include, if you desire.
This class will feature Mediterranean olive pockets from Hoboken Farms, as well as sparkling cider and wine.
Fee: $55; includes all materials and snacks*
