An Evening with the Author: Caroline Leavitt

The fourth installment of Montclair Public Library’s With the Author series features New York Times bestseller Caroline Leavitt, author of the acclaimed new novel, Is This Tomorrow.

In 1956, Ava Lark is the focus of her neighbors’ attention: divorced, Jewish, and a working mother, she is tolerated, but not exactly welcome, in her conservative WASP community. Yet when her son’s best and only friend goes missing, the entire neighborhood closes ranks on Ava, with devastating repercussions for her family.

A haunting tale of love, loss, and family secrets, Is This Tomorrow has been called “everything you want in a novel,” and a “Mad Men-like examination of shifting midcentury American values.”
