Author Sherry Blair Hosts NJ Children's Book Signing and Shares 3 Positive Life Skills For Children

Montclair, NJ -- Jan 24, 2014 / (http://www.myprgenie.com) -- Positive psychology coach and author Sherry Blair recently debuted a new children's book titled Jangala Tribal Warriors: Living, Growing and Learning From the Heart. The book was co-authored by Nancy Azevedo Bonilla and features a supplemental facilitator's guide with Kelly Hollywood-Lehman. It also features illustrations by Beverly Lazor, the artist behind The Land Before Time and An American Tail books. The authors will be hosting a book signing at That Little Black Dress boutique in Montclair, New Jersey on Saturday, February 15th from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm. The book for children ages 3 to 8 was written with the purpose of spreading positive psychology and teaching heart centered language in the lives of children. It teaches children how to handle their feelings, conflicts, and how to have healthy and strong relationships; the book is very effective in preventing bullying. It also includes an accompanying facilitator's guide with step-by-step guidelines for parents, teachers and professionals working with children.

Author Sherry Blair says, "Teaching children these concepts in the formative years as a proactive way to build them up from the inside out has many positive benefits. Children require social and emotional intelligence to succeed in the world and the younger they are when acquiring these skills, the stronger they become internally as they continue to develop.

Teaching them to love themselves and others regardless of our differences also contributes to creating a world where love conquers hate and peaceful flourishing relationships prevail at home, school and at play. As a collective, getting back to our tribal roots helps us to view the world in terms of 'we' versus 'me' and the positive psychological benefits rooted in the first of the series of Jangala Tribal Warriorssupports this mission."  Read More
