About Dennis Maciupa

Dennis Maciupa is a New Jersey native with a huge passion for craft beer! A frequent beer traveler who has visited many top rated beer bars and breweries throughout the world, he has refined his palate over the past decade by sampling and reviewing thousands of brews on popular craft beer culture websites.  In recent years, Dennis has shifted his focus towards homebrewing award winning craft beers and ciders.  A member of both the W.H.A.L.E.S. (Woodbridge Homebrewers Ale and Lager Enthusiast Society) and the A.H.A. (American Homebrewers Association), his homemade libations have already garnered six awards from BJCP (Beer Judging Certification Program) affiliated homebrew competitions.  Dennis reports that he is also very proud to have two of his creations advancing to the National Homebrew Competition final round this year!  With his sights set firmly on opening his own brewery in the future, he has ventured into the commercial brewing world by becoming a Brewer's Apprentice at New Jersey Beer Co. and gaining acceptance into the “CraftBrewers Apprenticeship Program for Intensive Brewing Science & Engineering” offered by the American Brewers Guild brewing school in Salisbury, Vermont.
