Brother to Brother Mentoring Program Parent Open House

The Brother to Brother Mentoring Program is hosting a Parent’s Open House on Monday, January 27, 2014 from 6:30-8:30 PM at the Community Services Building, 11 Pine Street, Montclair.  Fourth Ward Councilwoman Dr. Renee Baskerville, Sylvia Bryant, District Parent Coordinator, Montclair Board of Education, and James Harris, Retired Dean of Students Montclair State University and Past President of the Montclair N.A.A.C.P., will speak on the importance of a strong focus on education and parental involvement in our student's schools.  Joseph Davis, Program Director, will speak on the new vision for Brother to Brother Mentoring Program and the opportunities this program presents for the young men of Montclair and surrounding towns, and to welcome any young men who would like to join.  All are welcome to attend.

Brother to Brother is a 501(c)3 non-profit mentoring program servicing Essex County male middle and high-school aged adolescents ranging from the 6th through the 12th grades.  Our group mentoring activities are designed to be school-anchored and community-based to foster safe, nurturing, and positive relationships between adult mentors and teen male protégés.  We seek to inspire program participants with the highest ideals of character, conduct, and educational achievement, so that they may become productive and empowered young men of their communities.
