"A Hearty Greeting" Art Show

In 1946 in an across the pond exchange, the East Lane Senior School in North Wembley, England, sent a large box to the Mary C. Williams school in Wilmington Delaware, and they did the same.  Inside each box was approximately 78 drawings, paintings and essays from the students ranging in age from eight to sixteen.  It was newsworthy enough to make the newspaper on both sides of the Atlantic.

Sixty six years later the box, perfectly preserved, was found in an estate sale in Montclair, New Jersey, by Charlie Potters of Blowout Gallery. 

Come see this amazing historical snapshot of school kids and their artwork.  This will be the only showing of the complete find, after this they will be sold separately.
