Graphic Novel Author Jorge Aguirre

Jorge Aguirre, author of the critically acclaimed graphic novel ‘Giants Beware,’ visits Montclair Public Library for a kids’ book-talk! Mr. Aguirre will discuss his process for writing ‘Giants’ and participate in a Q&A followed by a book signing. Books will be available for purchase courtesy of Watchung Booksellers.
Jorge Aguirre is a TV, film, and book writer. New York Times called ‘Giants Beware’ a “rollicking fun adventure.”  It received a starred review from Publisher’s Weekly and was named one of the Top 10 graphic novels of 2012 by the California Library Association. Jorge has written many episodes of Nickelodeon’s ‘Dora the Exlporer’ and ‘Go Diego, Go,’ Disney Channel's ‘Handy Manny’ and ‘Imagination Movers,’ and the PBS series ‘Martha Speaks.’ He is currently working on an original pilot for the Disney Channel called ‘Goldie & Little Bear.’ Jorge is based in Montclair, New Jersey.  
Ages 7 and up, registration required.
The first 10 children to register and attend get a complimentary book for signing courtesy of Montclair Public Library. Child must attend program to receive book; 1 book per family.
