Vishnu is an Ayurvedic Specialist, with approximately a decade of experience, who has been offering consultations and Marma Therapy (Ayurvedic Pressure Point Therapy) at the Karuna Shala. Included in the initial consultation is pulse, tongue, and an overall physical examination, with the addition of some Vedic Astrology (Ayurvedically based). He will determine your baseline constitution (Prakruti) and current state of imbalances (Vikruti) and suggest dietary/lifestyle modifications, possible herbal supplementation, Ayurvedic Yoga Therapy recommendations, pranayama (breathing techniques), Ayurvedic Psychology/Counseling and potentially many other resources, based on a case by case basis. 

Marma Therapy also known as Marma Chikitsa (treatment), predates acupuncture and involves specific points on the body that are closely connected with our vital energy (prana) and can be controlled, treated, directed and/or manipulated in various ways.  Most commonly, this involves applied pressure and the healing energy of a cultivated practitioner.  Marma Therapy is an important tool for disease prevention and treatment in Ayurveda. Imbalances can be brought back into a state of balance through the necessary channels of reawakening the body's inherent cellular intelligence and kindly assisting it in healing itself.
